Mabel Jean (MJ)

Mabel Jean is Sam’s five year old, female, hound-mix. They are recent graduates of the Texas State Animal-Assisted Counseling Academy, class of 2023! Mabel Jean completed training prior to being a student at Texas State University at Petco and earned three different certifications that included Adult Dog Level 1, Adult Dog 2, and Canine Good Citizen (CGC). Mabel Jean is Sam’s therapy partner/co-counselor and is present most sessions. Mabel Jean has experience working with teens and adults and is often incorporated into therapy interventions.
