Gabrielle Laden, LMSW

Gabby is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) under the clinical supervision of Keri Moran, LCSW-S. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Simmons College in Boston, MA before moving to Austin in 2018. After moving to Austin, she was able to work in the school system which drove Gabby to pursue her masters degree in social work to further enhance her capabilities in serving children and families. In 2021, Gabby earned her Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Since graduating, she has had experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults primarily in school and healthcare settings through their mental health services. She currently works as a Special Education Counselor for grades K-12. She has a passion for working with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, learning disorders, sensory differences, and developmental disabilities) and their families.

Gabby is trained in Trauma Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and the Handle with Care behavior management approach. She likes to utilize a strengths based approach with all clients to empower them to meet their goals for counseling. She primarily applies Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques when working with clients and has additional experience implementing social skills curricula, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation not only with clients but their caregivers and family system as well. Gabby loves being able to support children and families through her social work practice and is excited to do so here at Mindful Connections Counseling.

During her free time, Gabby enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, Winnie. Together, they love going for walks and exploring the Austin area.
