Executive Functioning Saturdays

This group will be facilitated by our wonderful neurodivergent affirming therapist, Priscilla Leyva. Priscilla is trained in AutPlay™ and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She utilizes expressive arts and creative interventions to support children, teens, and young adults. In this group, participants will develop enhanced emotional and organizational skills to more effectively achieve their goals.

WHEN: Saturdays, starting April 5th

WHERE: In person at our south Austin location (8700 Menchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748)

AGE GROUP: Children ages 10-12 at 1pm, Teens ages 13-15 at 3pm

Cost: $60 per session, paid in 2 installments on the 1st and 5th group session

    6th Grade Girls Group

    For 6th Grade Girls

    Facilitated by Rosanna Worthington, LCSW

    This group provides a supportive environment for girls to process the transition to middle school and adolescence. 

    Members will choose activities that are meaningful for them (art, drama, literature, etc.) to move toward the following goals:
    • Identify personal values and take action toward these values
    • Manage changing friendships and increasingly complicated peer interactions
    • Practice self-compassion and a growth mindset
    • Manage difficult feelings through mindfulness and values-based action, rather than pushing them away
    This is an ongoing group, with flexible start and end dates; however, weekly attendance is expected.
     

    WHEN: Weekly onTuesdays from 4:00pm- 5:00pm

      Parent-Child Therapy Group 

      FACILITATED BY: ROSANNA WORTHINGTON, LCSW AND CAROLYN MOREAU, LCSW WHEN: 

      WHERE: In person at our south Austin location (8700 Menchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748)

      We are trilled to offer a group focused on supporting parents and young children through connecting and attachment based activities. In this group parents and children will be guided in 2 important phases each session:

      • During the first phase, which will be 30 minutes, children will be together in a play therapy group while parents are engaged in a parenting group focused on managing big “baffling” behaviors. 
      • During the second phase, which will also be 30 minutes, both facilitators will guide parents and their child in attachment focused interventions based on Theraplay. 
      This is a closed 10 week group beginning on 10/29/24 from 11am-12pm.

      AGE GROUP: 3-4 years
