“Worthy now. Not if. Not when. We are worthy of love and belonging now.” — Brené Brown
Hi! My name is Gabi Stack and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate working under the supervision of Kimberly Harrington-Delgado, LPC-S, RPT-S™. I am so glad you have found your way here and are thinking about getting support for you or your child. I believe that healing is unique to each of us. Whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition, managing big emotions, or seeking support for your child, therapy offers an opportunity to explore challenges without having to carry them alone. I look forward to learning what healing means to you and working together toward the goals that matter most to your family.
Experience
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. Throughout my training I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families in a variety of settings. I spent time in a school setting which gave me insight into school related concerns and I completed my second internship at a non-profit serving youth and families. Working primarily with children ages 6–13 deepened my passion for play therapy and the powerful ways children communicate, process experiences, and heal through play. I have a background working in ABA therapy so I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and their families. I integrate that knowledge into my play therapy work in order to create a welcoming environment that honors each child’s unique strengths, needs, and ways of engaging with the world.
Clients I Serve & My Therapeutic Approach
One of the main things I learned through my variety of experiences was how to meet people where they are and follow their lead. I believe that meaningful growth happens when you feel safe, accepted, and empowered to move at a pace that feels right for you. I base my work on Person-Centered Therapy which means that I aim to build a therapeutic relationship based on authenticity and genuine care. With younger children I practice from a Child-Centered Play Therapy framework. With that my focus is creating an environment where your child can process their emotions and experiences safely and without judgement. With older children, teens, and families I like to incorporate expressive interventions like art or sandtray. Depending on each client’s needs, I may also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help build practical skills, strengthen resilience, and support meaningful change.
